Join VQC's gift card fundraiser on FundScrip
Victoria’s Quilts Canada (VQC) now offers another way for supporters to help us provide quilts to people living with cancer in Canada. We have established a group on FundScrip, an innovative program that lets you earn cash rebates for VQC based on things you buy everyday like groceries, gas and other household items. All you have to do is pay for some or all of your purchases using GIFT CARDS bought at face value from FundScrip participating retailers and a percentage of every gift card purchased is contributed to our group’s fundraising efforts. Aside from postage to mail the cards, it's free.
According to FundScrip, an average family spends about $600 on groceries plus $200 on gas and another $200 on household items each month, for a total of $1,000. At a 3% rebate, which is the average, each family would generate $30 per month in earnings for the group it supports.
To have the biggest impact, you need to order every week or every two weeks. FundScrip has made this easy by providing an option to place a recurring order. This way, you never miss an opportunity to support VQC and you always have your cards on time. Setting a budget helps.
How does FundScrip work?
Supporters pay with gift cards instead of credit/debit/cash for everyday items and gifts. The cards are bought at face value and redeemed at face value (i.e. you buy $100 and you get $100). There is no need to change shopping habits as they are available from over 230 leading retailers. Each purchase generates earnings for VQC. All of the gift cards come from the retailers themselves, none of them have expiration dates, and some are also available as eGift cards.
How to order your gift cards and support our group
Visit the FundScrip website at www.fundscrip.com, click on the “Support Your Group” button located on the top right hand corner and fill in the required information.
Once you have completed the sign-up process, you will be sent a confirmation email. Click the link in the confirmation email to complete your registration.
Now you are ready to login, place orders and start supporting our group!
Have your gift card order mailed to you directly!
You can order your gift cards online any time and have them shipped to your home address for $0.85 (plus taxes). There is a four (4) gift card limit in each order and a $500 maximum value of the cards. Orders are processed four (4) days a week (Monday through Thursday) at 9:15 am ET once payment has been confirmed.
Payment methods available to you
Ordering from FundScrip is secure – FundScrip uses the same encryption technology as all the major banks and their servers are stored in secure facilities.

Requires completed application form and void cheque sent to FundScrip to be activated.
- Online Banking Bill Payment – FREE
Pay for your orders as you would pay any other bill. There are no fees or deductions to earnings for using this payment. Please note that it can take at least three (3) business days for FundScrip to receive payment.
