Delivery of quilts in the Ottawa/Gatineau area
We are especially in need of individuals to deliver in the Gatineau area. Those wishing to help with this work must have training in pastoral care, palliative care or counseling. We are also seeking someone to coordinate quilt distribution in the National Capital region.
General volunteers help out with a wide variety of tasks (e.g. making phone calls, picking up donated item, packing and mailing quilts) and provide support to internal Victoria’s Quilts Canada (VQC) committees in the Ottawa area, such as the Quilt-a-thon Committee. This is a great opportunity for those who want to volunteer but are limited in time, such as those who only have evenings and weekends, or who do not quilt.
This is a very exciting position for an enthusiastic volunteer. This individual would coordinate events throughout the Ottawa/Gatineau area to promote VQC and help raise funds. Such events include our annual Quilt-a-thon, Radiothon, and Fashion Show. This individual would need great leadership and organizational skills. The schedule is flexible.
We are seeking volunteers who would like to work on our Fundraising Committee. This team would work on a variety of innovative projects to ensure our financial security.
Interested volunteers would join our dynamic public relations team to promote VQC in a variety of areas.
