Hamilton/Niagara Branch
Established in 2018, the Hamilton/Niagara Branch of Victoria Quilt’s Canada (VQC) provides quilts to residents of the Regional Municipalities of Hamilton/Wentworth and Niagara. With a current small membership of only 20 members (sewers and deliverers), the Branch operates through two groups: one that meets weekly at St. Barnabas church in St. Catharines and the other that meets monthly at U-Quilt-It, a locally run quilting store in Smithville.
While just an infant in its Branch history, Hamilton/ Niagara has already garnered community support from the local Lion’s Club, Walmart and the Ancaster Quilter's Guild through support and funding initiatives.
The Branch currently produces and delivers approximately 15 quilts per month but hopes to increase that output with its welcoming request for more volunteers.
